AREA MEET 2009

ISABELA, Negros Occidental -- La Castellana National High School participated in the recently concluded Area V Athletic and Cultural Meet. 137 delegates from LCNHS compete to bring home the awards. After 3 years, LCNHS Dance Troupe win back its championship title in the Folk Dance Competition trained by Mrs. Jolna L. Villar and Mayjor Ray Embang, also the costume designer. Other winners in the cultural event are as follows:
English Declamation, CHRISTINE THEL GEOLLEGUE - 2nd Place
Filipino Declamation, MATT DANIEL ROA - 2nd Place
Extemporaneous Speech, ELMOR GICARO III - 1st Place

LCNHS: The Most Sustainable and Eco-Friendly School in the Philippines

LA CASTELLANA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL was adjudged as the National winner of the Search for the Most Sustainable and Eco-Friendly School in the whole Philippines.
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) together with the Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED), sponsored the “National Search for Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Schools” contest.
The nationwide search is open to elementary, high school and tertiary levels that are conducting sustainable and environment-friendly programs and activities.
Awarding ceremonies will be on November 19, 2009 in Manila.

LCNHS: Brigada Eskwela 2009 Regional Champion

For the 3rd time, La Castellana National High School bagged the championship Title in the Regional Search for the Best Implementer of Brigada Eskwela. Through the cooperation and support of its stakeholders the program was successsfully implemented. The La Castellana National High School Faculty and Staff will be attending the Regional Awarding Ceremony at Grand Regal Hotel in Iloilo City on October 29, 2009.

LA CASTELLANA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL to host Regional Science Fair

2009 REGIONAL SCIENCE CONGRESS

Annually, group of young scientists coming from all Divisions in Western Visayas gather together for the Regional Science Congress which will be hosted this year by La Castellana National High School on November 19 – 20, 2009.

This spectacular event showcases the bests of Science and Technology. Students from all over Region VI will be presenting their investigations and will compete for the best project which will represent the Western Visayas for the National Finals. This is also a venue to prepare our young scientists to create innovative ideas to tussle with the recent trends of technology and become globally competitive.

STEP 2009 NEWS!!

ILOILO CITY -- 17 Divisions from all over Western Visayas competed for the various skills competition during the 9th STEP Regional Skills Development and Competition held at Iloilo National High School, Iloilo City last October 23-25, 2009.
